R. Kaats, Ph.D.
Dr. Kaats is Director of the Health and Medical Research
Foundation, an independent research and development company
that conducts clinical trials and product development
programs for weight control and health-enhancing products
and technologies. The Foundation has conducted studies
for some of the largest nutritional companies in America.
In conducting these studies he has worked and/or published
studies with co-investigators from Harvard University,
Baylor College of Medicine, Harbor-UCLA Medical School,
University of Texas Health Science Center, University
of California at San Diego, Texas Lutheran University
and George Washington University Medical School.
In addition to membership in other professional organizations,
Dr. Kaats is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition,
Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine
and Diplomate of the Association's Clinical Nutrition
of Bariatric Physicians (Associate Member), Association
for Clinical Research Professionals, the National Osteoporosis
Foundation, Society for Clinical Densitometry and the
Christian Medical Foundation International.
Dr. Kaats received his PhD in psychology from the University
of Colorado in 1969 while serving as an associate professor
of psychology at the Air Force Academy. While in the Air
Force he accumulated over 7,000 flying hours that included
a combat tour in Viet Nam and as a navigator on Air Force
Two. He also aided in the development and supervision
of Air Force behavior modification programs for substance
abuse and treatment, equal opportunity and race relations. |
