Virgin, PhD, CNS, CHFI
From
CEO’s to movie stars, JJ Virgin has successfully
coached top performers around the world, using her powerful
weight loss program to get them in shape and keep them
healthy in their work. She has appeared as an on-camera
nutrition and fitness expert, writer, professional speaker
and radio personality on nationally-syndicated shows.
Among her numerous network television appearances, JJ
spent two seasons as the Nutrition Expert on the Dr. Phil
Show, as well as appearing on episodes of E! Modern Girl’s
Guide to Life, NBC’s iVillage Live, ABC’s
Extreme Makeover, and numerous network pilots. JJ is continually
sought after for her expertise in the world of health
and fitness, and is regularly featured in popular magazine,
website and newspaper articles.
JJ is a featured Nutrition Expert for Subway and appeared
in Washington D.C. to help launch the company’s
campaign against childhood obesity. Tanita Corporation
brought JJ on board to highlight their nationally televised
campaign on body composition testing. She regularly lectures
to capacity audiences at international conferences for
health care professionals on her Overcoming Weight Loss
Resistance Program, Successful Detoxification and Marketing
& Practice Development concepts. Her public presentations
focus on topics from her wildly successful weight loss
program that she uses in her coaching work with her clients.
Among her client list of top CEO’s, heavy weight
champions, Olympians, CEOs, rock stars, and Hollywood
elite, JJ counts actor Brandon Routh, preparing him for
his starring role as Superman in the movie Superman Returns.
Other notables include Ben Stiller, Jeanne Tripplehorn,
Tracie Thoms, Janeane Garofalo, Joshua Rexford, Stephen
Bishop and Benny Mardones.
A 25 year veteran of the health and fitness industry,
JJ has practiced holistic nutrition and functional medicine
for the past ten years. She is a UCLA graduate and has
attended 6 different graduate and doctoral programs including
biomechanics at California State University Northridge,
sports medicine at University of Miami, doctoral level
courses in exercise physiology, nutrition and aging at
USC, and nutrition at University of Bridgeport. Most recently,
JJ received her PhD in Holistic Nutrition at Clayton College
of Natural Health.
