Overview
The purpose of this course is to give
the healthcare professional working with the patient using
glyconutritionals an increased level of comfort through
education. To develop an understanding for the need to
shift the paradigm of thinking from a pharmaceutical mindset
to the mindset of nutritional supplementation.
CE Accreditations:
Registered Dieticians/Dietetic Technicians, Registered
Proevity Inc. is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE)
Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
(CDR). Registered dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians,
registered (DTRs) will receive up to 1 continuing professional
education units (CPEUs) for completion of this program/material.

Faculty
Kia Gary, RN.LNCC.
Kia Gary obtained her degree in nursing in 1978 from San
Angelo State University. From 1987 until 1997, Ms. Gary
provided medical consulting services to major group insurance
and workman's compensation carriers in the forms of case
management, risk management, wellness/prevention, audition
and quality improvement. From 1993 through 1995 she was
a trainer, then senior trainer, for Aetna Health Plans'
Utilization Management Department in the Dallas/Ft. Worth
regional office. In 1997, she developed Mannatech's Product
Safety Monitoring Program. She was responsible for the
management and implementation of this program in each
country where Mannatech Inc. is authorized to conduct
business. She obtained a diploma in Legal Nurse Consulting
from Kaplan College in February 2001, and successfully
completed the certification requirements for credentialing
as a Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC). |
