Direct marketing and retailing of nutritional products
has resulted in a large industry that is now being
strictly regulated by the “structure/function”
claims rules of the Food and Drug Administration
and the Federal Trade Commission. Switching information
from the old sickness model to the new Wellness
model is not only legally mandated, it also make
good common sense. It is a more accurate message
when we share nutrition information with health
care professionals and others. |
